Experimenter and gentle artist, Petr Písařík, lives through different phases within the development of his painting work. Sometimes he is a mechanic, sometimes pragmatic, then melancholic or cynic and just now, he is a lyric. It is a position that everyone has (at least an artist) inside although he denies it.
Formally, we can follow this for long. Glittering, shiny, brilliant glitters, beads, artificial snow, phosphorescent colors, feather, fur… Fascination by kitsch, fascination by the world of surface covering all the mysterious and the inside unrecognized, fascination by its own emotion and by his internal world. Petr Písařík is a conceptual artist that does not work with concrete themes anymore today. Flowers and their shadows, running time, soap bubbles…all this arises from author´s activity as if by accident. Every layer on his painting is unique and invisible. We see just the last one that hides all the prior processes. We may see an abstract pattern, it may be flowers or a light gesture (because it is just the lightness that characterizes best his work) that depicts something so banal and downgraded through the history of art. In the last collection of Písařík´s paintings, austerity in minimalist way appeared beside decisiveness that is needed to know when to stop painting. If it was not a cliché, we would say that Petr Písařík has maturated. His paintings are more and more stunning.
Písařík intends to persuade us that there is nothing more that a painting poetry. In spite of some dazzling illusion we can see right into the author´s soul. He is a lyric.
